A visit to Oporto,Portugal means to see fine bridges, to be enchanted by the brik-roofed houses cascaded upon the hills, to be carried through winding roads, to view an imposing river that unapologetically divides the city, and most of all, to sip goodport wine. Oporto, as the name indicates, is the port capital of the world. Go to any wine store in the country and check out the port wine and where the good ones are from. they’re from this place. I love the sweetness of port wine, but I also have to be careful because the alcohol content is higher than riesling, chardonnay or shiraz. Sweetness can be deceiving… both with wine and other things…
